The mission of The Sustany Foundation

The Sustany Foundation was founded in 2007. Our mission is to improve the Bay area’s quality of life now and into the future by promoting a culture of sustainability on a local level. The Foundation encourages environmental and social responsibility, right here in Tampa Bay, by supporting individuals and organizations committed to stewardship and sustainability. We serve as a conduit between those who wish to contribute their time and/or their assets to protecting and enhancing our quality of life, and those who have effective plans and programs in development or underway that complement and advance our mission.

While supporting sustainability causes, the importance of civic, corporate and community development isn’t lost on us. The greatness of our area is dependent on a full spectrum of growth that is accountable to our unique quality of life now and into the future.

Areas of focus:

Sustainability in education

Community, corporate and cultural development

Architectural sustainability (leed)

Natural resources sustainability

Reuse and consumption (waste reduction)

Alternative energy development

We can continue to grow and prosper. We can merge sound business practices with environmental stewardship. We can build a greater quality of life, one that recognizes the importance of protecting our precious natural resources. More importantly, we can extend the legacy of this area to future generations.

Please join with us in realizing our vision. Volunteer your time and talents. We gratefully accept financial contributions to help us fund the hard work of individuals and organizations committed to preserving and improving the unique environment of the Tampa Bay area.
