Clean Air Tampa Bay: A Collaborative Effort for a Healthier Environment

The Sustany Foundation is excited to announce its collaboration with the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council on the Clean Air Tampa Bay project. This initiative is dedicated to improving air quality in the Tampa Bay area, fostering a healthier and more sustainable community for all residents.

EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants Program

The Clean Air Tampa Bay project is bolstered by funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which received $5 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) to support the development and implementation of climate action plans aimed at reducing greenhouse gases (GHG). Through the Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) Program, the EPA partners with states, territories, local, and tribal officials to advance crucial climate action goals.

The Sustany Foundation is committed to providing essential support for the Clean Air Tampa Bay project by:

  • Partnership Building: Facilitating collaborations between various stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations.
  • Research and Development: Supporting research initiatives aimed at understanding air pollution sources and developing effective solutions to mitigate them.
  • Community Involvement: Organizing events and programs to engage the community, such as workshops, clean-up drives, and public forums.

A Bright Future for Tampa Bay

Through the combined efforts of the Sustany Foundation, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, and the support from the EPA’s CPRG Program, Clean Air Tampa Bay is making significant strides towards cleaner air and a healthier environment. This partnership exemplifies the power of collaborative action in tackling environmental challenges and ensuring a sustainable future for the Tampa Bay area.

Celebrating Community Engagement Across Four Counties

Our commitment to community engagement has taken us to various events across Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Hernando counties. Through these events, we’ve had the pleasure of interacting with residents, promoting sustainability, and supporting local initiatives.
