EVOS Opens in Carrollwood!

by Alison Lueders, Great Green Editing

This week, the new location of EVOS restaurant opened at 10205 Lake Carroll Way in Tampa. This restaurant offers much healthier versions of those American classics – burgers, fries, shakes and wraps. Today I had a grass-fed beef burger, airbaked fries, and an organic chocolate shake for lunch. I am smiling as I write this.

Sustany® posted about EVOS in January of this year, when we kicked off a series of profiles about recipients of the City of Tampa’s Green Business Designation. EVOS received its designation in 2011, not just for its fresh, organic food, but for the many sustainable choices it makes in it operations. These range from using greener building materials to printing customer menus on recycled paper.

The new location seats about 50 and also offers patio seating outside. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrapped around a corner location create a light, bright interior. I’m glad I went early – there was a line to the door by the time I left.

EVOS shows the “Triple Bottom Line” in action with a balanced focus on people, profits and planet. Right now, in the middle of your summer vacation, you may not care about that. So just go enjoy great food in a clean, pleasant place. Take another sip of that cool, chocolate shake. Yes – life is good!
